Future Leader Programs
Ages 11-15
A four-year commitment for participants (Future Leaders) ages 11-15. Through experiential learning, our programming is designed to facilitate self-exploration and the development of a broad range of leadership skills, including self-expression, advocacy, and conflict resolution.
Camp BroaderWay
The beginning of the four-year journey and the bedrock of our program, Camp BroaderWay is a two-week sleepaway camp that takes place in the mountains of Connecticut, hours from New York City.
CLASSES: All participants attend classes across four core disciplines: theater, voice, dance and spoken word. Songwriting, filmmaking, choreography, and dramatic writing are also available.
ACTIVITIES: Future Leaders participate in traditional camp activities such as swimming, team sports, and social nights.
COMMUNITY: Camp BroaderWay is our most significant opportunity to build our community. For many of our youngest Future Leaders, it is their first time away from home.
School-Year Program
WORKSHOPS: Workshops are themed to explore different concepts of leadership.
AUXILIARY ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Future Leaders are invited to attend, and to sometimes participate in, outside performances. Other enrichment trips have included touring art exhibits and professional workplaces.
SOCIAL GATHERINGS: We continue to bond at these informal events—getting to know and rely upon each other.
“A BroaderWay is at the forefront of supporting creative forms of expression. They want the Future Leaders to express themselves through all types of art forms to boost their confidence and mindsets.”
